Hi, I'm Michaela Towfighi!
I'm a reporter at the Concord Monitor where I cover the "Two New Hampshires," which focuses on inequality through the state. On any given day, I'm writing about housing and homelessness, immigration and the cost of living in New Hampshire. You can find me in the State House, knocking on Granite Staters' doors or in local city meetings to find the story. I am hired at the Monitor through Report for America. In 2023, I was named New Hampshire's Journalist of the Year.

I was born in Boston but grew up in London, England. Now I'm back stateside and learning to call New England home again. I graduated from Duke University in 2022 and I love to read, throw pottery and run long distances.
